Bosch MED17.5.21 — a direct-injection petrol ECU on the TriCore core. The flash is encrypted and RSA-signed; the calibration checksums are recalculated separately after tuning.

Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1 (210 → 280 hp / 280 → 380 Nm), Stage 2 (с downpipe + intake — 320 hp), Stage 3 (большая турбина K04/IS38 — 380+ hp), Pop & Bang / Crackle map, Launch control activation, Speed limiter off, Lambda removal (катализатор off), DSG DQ250 software, Map switching (multi-map), Throttle response improvement: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
