Bosch MSE2 — after a calibration edit the firmware checksum must be recalculated, otherwise the unit may reject the file.
This unit is found on petrol vehicles Husqvarna, KTM (2011–2020) — a total of 7 models, among them Husqvarna Svartpilen, KTM 125, Husqvarna Vitpilen, KTM 200, KTM 250, KTM 390.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Pop & Bang / decat, Launch control, Speed limiter off, OPF/GPF off, Lambda off, DTC removal, Cold start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
Other checksum plugins from the same manufacturer — open any of them to recalculate the checksum.
