Bosch MG1CS201 — a latest-generation petrol ECU on the Infineon AURIX (TC2xx/TC3xx). Its protection is multi-layered: a CRC, a digital signature and container checksums — recalculation is mandatory after any change to the dump.
This unit is found on бензиновых vehicles BMW, Mini, Toyota (2017–2020) — a total of 18 models, among them BMW 2-Series, Mini Clubman JCW ALL4, Toyota Supra, BMW 2-Series Grand Coupè, BMW 3-Series, BMW 5-Series.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Pop & Bang / decat, Launch control, Speed limiter off, OPF/GPF off, Lambda off, DTC removal, Cold start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
