Bosch MEVD17.2 — a BMW direct-injection petrol ECU (N20/N55/N63/B58) on the TriCore. The flash is encrypted and signed; after tuning the checksum is recalculated.
This unit is found on бензиновых vehicles BMW (2010–2021) — a total of 10 models, among them BMW 320i, BMW 328i, BMW 335i, BMW 435i, BMW 528i, BMW 535i, with power output of 184–370 hp
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1 N20 (245 → 285 hp / 350 → 430 Nm), Stage 1 N55 (306 → 380 hp / 400 → 500 Nm), Stage 2 N55 (с downpipe + intake — 420 hp), Pop & Bang / overrun crackle, Launch control / M-launch, Torque monitor delete (важно для Stage 2+), Speed limiter off (260 km/h limit), Cold start delete, Throttle response / D-mode tuning, OPF / GPF removal (для poststeurfilter моделей): the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
