Bosch MED17.9.8 — a direct-injection petrol ECU on the TriCore core. The flash is encrypted and RSA-signed; the calibration checksums are recalculated separately after tuning.
This unit is found on бензиновых vehicles Hyundai, Kia (2010–2016) — a total of 17 models, among them Hyundai Accent, Kia Ceed, Hyundai Avante, Hyundai Creta, Hyundai Elantra, Hyundai I30.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Pop & Bang / decat, Launch control, Speed limiter off, OPF/GPF off, Lambda off, DTC removal, Cold start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
