Bosch MED17.5.5 — a direct-injection petrol ECU on the TriCore core. The flash is encrypted and RSA-signed; the calibration checksums are recalculated separately after tuning.
This unit is found on бензиновых vehicles Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen (2007–2015) — a total of 43 models, among them Audi A1, Seat Alhambra, Skoda Fabia Combi RS, Volkswagen Beetle, Audi A1 Sportback, Audi A3.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Pop & Bang / decat, Launch control, Speed limiter off, OPF/GPF off, Lambda off, DTC removal, Cold start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
