Bosch ME7.8.1 — after a calibration edit the firmware checksum must be recalculated, otherwise the unit may reject the file.
This unit is found on бензиновых vehicles Porsche (2004–2008) — a total of 21 models, among them Porsche 911 Carrera, Porsche 911 Carrera 4, Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet, Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Pop & Bang / decat, Launch control, Speed limiter off, OPF/GPF off, Lambda off, DTC removal, Cold start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
