Bosch MD1CS001 — a latest-generation diesel ECU on the Infineon AURIX (TC2xx/TC3xx). Its protection is multi-layered: a calibration CRC, a digital signature and container checksums — recalculation is mandatory after any change to the dump.
This unit is found on дизельных vehicles BMW, Mini (2015–2020) — a total of 18 models, among them BMW 2-Series, Mini Cooper D, BMW 2-Series Grand Coupè, BMW 3-Series, BMW 5-Series, BMW X1.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, DPF off, EGR off, AdBlue/SCR off, DTC removal, Flap off, Lambda off, Speed limiter off, Torque monitor off, Hot start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
