Bosch M1.5.5 — after a calibration edit the firmware checksum must be recalculated, otherwise the unit may reject the file.

This unit is found on petrol vehicles Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet, FIAT, Holden, Opel, Saturn, Vauxhall (1997–2004) — a total of 39 models, among them Alfa Romeo 145, Chevrolet Astra, FIAT Bravo, Holden Astra, Opel Astra, Saturn Astra.

Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Pop & Bang / decat, Launch control, Speed limiter off, OPF/GPF off, Lambda off, DTC removal, Cold start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
