Bosch EDC16C34 — a previous-generation Common Rail diesel ECU (ST10/MPC core). Its checksums are simpler than the EDC17, but when maps are edited they must be recalculated across several areas at once.
This unit is found on дизельных vehicles Citroen, FIAT, Ford, Mazda, Peugeot, Santana, Suzuki, Volvo (2002–2010) — a total of 41 models, among them Citroen Berlingo, FIAT Scudo, Ford C-Max, Mazda 2, Peugeot 1007, Santana 300.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, DPF off, EGR off, AdBlue/SCR off, DTC removal, Flap off, Lambda off, Speed limiter off, Torque monitor off, Hot start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
