Bosch EDC16C2 — a previous-generation Common Rail diesel ECU (ST10/MPC core). Its checksums are simpler than the EDC17, but when maps are edited they must be recalculated across several areas at once.
This unit is found on дизельных vehicles Mercedes-Benz (2001–2008) — a total of 12 models, among them Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sportcoupe, Mercedes-Benz C-Class T-Model, Mercedes-Benz CLC, Mercedes-Benz CLK, Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, DPF off, EGR off, AdBlue/SCR off, DTC removal, Flap off, Lambda off, Speed limiter off, Torque monitor off, Hot start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
