IMMO OFF is disabling the immobilizer right in the engine control unit's firmware. After the operation the ECU stops checking the key tag against the BCM, CAS or EWS and starts the engine without binding. This is needed when installing a used unit, losing keys, repairing the board or moving the ECU to a bench. Everything runs online from the memory dump: upload the file — the system detects the block and checks applicability for free, and you download the ready file with recalculated checksums in your portal account.
