Siemens (Continental) PCR2.1 — a VAG-platform Common Rail diesel ECU (TriCore TC1791). Protection consists of an immobiliser flag and a calibration checksum — after editing, the checksum must be restored.

Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, DPF off, EGR off, AdBlue/SCR off, DTC removal, Flap off, Lambda off, Speed limiter off, Torque monitor off, Hot start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
