Bosch EDC17C46 — a Common Rail diesel ECU built on the Infineon TriCore core. Firmware protection combines a software calibration CRC and a cryptographic signature (RSA/CVN) over the CFG and CAL areas; after editing, these sums must be recalculated or the unit will reject the file.

This unit is found on diesel vehicles Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen (2009–2018) — a total of 12 models, among them Audi A3, Volkswagen Golf, Skoda Octavia, Seat Ibiza, Audi A1, Volkswagen Polo, with power output of 90–170 hp
