Bosch EDC15V Immo Off — for VAG (Audi, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen)

Immo Off is disabling the immobilizer right in the engine control unit's firmware. After the operation the ECU stops checking the key tag against the BCM, CAS or EWS and starts the engine without binding to the car.

When you need Immo Off

• Installing a used (donor) unit — an ECU from another car is not matched to your key and BCM.
• Lost or broken keys — you need to start the engine while keys are being restored.
• Board repair or processor replacement — after servicing, the immobilizer binding is lost.
• Moving the ECU to a bench — starting the engine outside the car, without the factory security system.

What you get: the unit starts the engine without the immobilizer — the key tag and BCM are no longer checked.

Bosch EDC15V memory and reading

The Bosch EDC15V unit uses the following: EXT FLASH — 29F800BT. The Immo Off operation works on the EXT EEPROM area — that is the one to read out and upload. If OBD reading is not available for this unit, the dump is taken on the bench via Bench or Boot mode.
