Valeo S3000 — a Sagem petrol ECU (PSA); the checksums are recalculated after a calibration edit.

This unit is found on petrol vehicles Renault (1999–2009) — a total of 20 models, among them Renault Clio, Renault Clio RS, Renault Espace, Renault Fluence, Renault Grand Modus, Renault Grand Scenic.

Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Pop & Bang / decat, Launch control, Speed limiter off, OPF/GPF off, Lambda off, DTC removal, Cold start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
