Hitachi MEC940-xxx — an ECU on the SH core (Nissan, Subaru, Honda). The checksums are recalculated after editing.
This unit is found on petrol vehicles Nissan (2010–2013) — a total of 3 models, among them Nissan Juke, Nissan Micra, Nissan Qashqai.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Pop & Bang / decat, Launch control, Speed limiter off, OPF/GPF off, Lambda off, DTC removal, Cold start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
Other checksum plugins from the same manufacturer — open any of them to recalculate the checksum.
