Continental SIMOS18.1 — a VAG-platform petrol ECU (TFSI/TSI). Protection consists of an immobiliser flag and a calibration checksum (MapHash) — after tuning, the checksum must be restored.
This unit is found on бензиновых vehicles Audi, Porsche, Seat, Skoda, Volkswagen (2010–2018) — a total of 39 models, among them Audi A4, Porsche Macan, Seat Leon Cupra, Skoda Octavia Combi RS, Volkswagen Beetle, Audi A5.
Recalculation is needed after any calibration edit — Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3, Pop & Bang / decat, Launch control, Speed limiter off, OPF/GPF off, Lambda off, DTC removal, Cold start fix: the checksum no longer matches, and the ECU throws an error or refuses the firmware.
